Move SQL2008 R2 DB Instance

I created a new instance on SQL (10.50.4000) for SharePoint 2013, after doing all my configuration and basic setup I noticed the DB Instance root was configured in the default location (I was only half paying attention over a colleagues shoulder as he created the instance).

I want to move the root

from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SP2013\MSSQL

to E:\SP2013

I'm not too worried about down time on the DB yet, but I really don't want to have to fully setup 2013 again.

The server has another instance supporting SP2010 configured in the 'correct' location. I do not want to damage that DB, but I can manage some down time if necessary.

Googling around seems to find lots of posts, but I can't find something that I am confident to follow (/base my change on).

Can someone point me in the direction of some useful docs, or steps?
